GCOE, JAMMU CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY
The faculty, students and NSS Volunteers celebrated 75thIndependence Day with great fervor and gaiety. The program began with unfurling of the Tricolor. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by Patriotic songs program in which each one of the faculty member of the college sang patriotic songs. The Principal of the college Dr Kulvinder Kour congratulated the entire staff and students on the proud occasion of 75thindependence of the country. She added that it is a day that fills us with a sense of joy and pride. We should be grateful to ourfreedom fighters because of them today we are living our lives with freedom.
The convener of the program, Dr Mandeep Singh thanked everyone for making the celebration a success. He said despite certain difficulties all the staff members and students made it possible to reach venue and celebrate the occasion in unison. He also thanked head of the institution for extending all support. The program was conducted by Mr Ravinder Rao. The volunteers who were present on the occasion were Sabya, PayalSharma, Shikha Padha, Anisha, Yasmenn, Madan, Sapna, Richa Anand, Pallavi Rana and Sunaina Kapoor. Prof Shalini Rana presented the vote-of –thanks.
The faculty members who were present on the occasion were Prof C.L. Shivgotra, Prof Rajinder Kour, Dr.Neelam Dhar,Dr.Jyoti Parihar, Prof. Radhika Mahajan, Prof K K Magotra, Dr Tahira Shah, Dr Mansi Sharma, Dr Anuradha Seth, Dr Anuradha Choudhary, Prof Deep Kumar, Dr Sushma Bala, Prof Sarita Dogra, Prof Shapia Shameem, Prof Neeraj Verma and Prof Seema Kumari.
